Some pieces specify what range of xylophone is desired, and others do not. The last piece also has a part for timpani and hand drum. Many different kinds of pentatonic scale are used (with and without semitones). Pieces #21-30 also have an upper part that could be sung or possibly played on another instrument (no lyrics are given- just an upper melody line). The pieces in this book are suitable for advanced players who would like to play from notation. Please note: the text is not translated; it is in the original German, but the book is mostly notation.
