by Nina Stern.
Nina Stern is one of North America’s leading performers of the recorder and classical clarinet. She is also hailed as an innovator in teaching school age children to be fine young musicians. She performs regularly as a principal player with The New York Philharmonic and New York City Opera. The pieces in this collection were inspired by traditional tunes and rhythms while researching music to motivate New York City public school children and are intended for groups of children that are just beginning to learn the recorder. Only three notes – B,A and G have been used. The addition of percussion enlivens the pieces. (Volume One SP2409 Does not Include CD).
