Description
24 pedagogy lessons for teaching the soprano recorder. Recorder playing is an integral part of the music classroom experience in these lessons. The first two notes taught are G and E. Notes are introduced individually, in sequence, and in a musical context.
The songs selected come from a variety of cultures. Students will learn about the culture from singing the songs, playing the music and games, and participating in the dances.
The included CD-ROM has PowerPoint slides for the steps in the lessons as well as to provide a brief look into the cultures of the songs in the book. Phonetic spellings are included for songs in languages other than English.
