Description
by Ginger Clarkson, MT-BC
This is a beautiful story about the spiritual journey of a young woman who learned that by viewing her handicap as a ‘handy cap’ she could approach life’s obstacles with new confidence and vision. The lead role of Alma (meaning ‘soul’ in Spanish) requires memorization and singing ability. Others in the cast speak a few lines with a few short solos. Actors with small parts may also play short, easy instrumental accompaniments to the songs, arranged for resonator bells, melodicas, guitar (chords) and bird calls. Music Therapy/Musical Play. Copyright 1990. 24 pp.
