The scene is Santaís workshop at the North Pole on Christmas Eve. The elves are busy making toys for Santa to deliver. Just when they think they are finished, a new list arrives! Feeling overwhelmed and unable to take it anymore, the elves decide to rebel. Enter Mrs. Claus, an over-the-top gal with a take-charge spirit, who must find a way to encourage the elves and make them realize how special and important they are to children all over the world. Hit the lights and cue the spot; we have several big production numbers to sing and lots of toys to make! Easily costumed and flexibly staged, this delightful 15ñ20 minute mini-musical easily allows the involvement of more than one age group. And, although there are 12 speaking roles and one major role, the entire stage can be filled with elves singing and reacting to all the scenes. A marvelous budget-stretcher, this product includes the vocal/piano scores, speaking parts, and a mixed-media CD with P/A tracks and reproducible vocal parts.
