Popular songs from e 50s-80s. Music teachers prefer to base their curriculum on classical, folk and traditional materials. However, occasionally they may also want to use material which middle school students might perceive as more contemporary. As in my first collection, Tops in Pops, the music in this book has been chosen to address this need. The purpose is for students to have fun with these songs while applying their developing musical skills. The arrangements are intended for students from late fifth grade through ninth grade. Optional cambiata parts have been included which will make them more appealing to boys with changing voices, and may make them more usable as program material.
